Patch Bay Normalling

Application: Default connections are normally made within the patchbay, but may need interrupting or modifying.

Shown: balanced normally-closed switching jacks.

Half

Only a plug inserted into the lower jack will break the circuit.

A plug inserted into the upper jack will receive the source signal (a source only listen jack).

Any signal on a plug inserted into the lower jack well be fed to the input of the destination.


Full (also known as Single)

Inserting a jack in either jack breaks the circuit.

A plug inserted into the upper jack will receive the source signal.

Any signal on a plug inserted into the lower jack will be fed to the input of the destination.
